Joining cadets is easy!

On Monday nights, visit Denison Armoury between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM or on Tuesday Nights at St Charles Garnier 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. For directions, please see the 'Contact Us' Page. Bring the following documents with you:

  1. Proof of age and citizenship. (Your son/daughter/ward must be between 12 and 18 years old and a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.)

  2. Your son/daughter/ward's OHIP card.

Photocopies will be taken of the above documents and a photograph will be taken of your son/daughter/ward. After review by our administration staff and signature by our Commanding Officer, your son/daughter/ward will be permitted to join in on cadet activities.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at recruiting@2754cadets.ca, or leave a message at 416 464 6240.

To make joining even easier, follow this link to downloadable forms. Simply fill them out, bring them and the documents mentioned above with you and you are ready to join!

In any case, come down yourself or with your parents or guardian. See what we are doing. Meet the staff and cadets. Ask questions.

Please note: Cadets are NOT members of the Canadian Armed Forces and are under no obligation to join the Canadian Armed Forces after leaving cadets. However, those who decide to join the Forces later in life start out with the advantage of having learned valuable skills through Army Cadets.

Remember that when you visit us there is no obligation for you to join, or to stay once you have joined, but you should at least visit and experience what hundreds of thousands of teenagers have already experienced before you.

Notes to parents:

All personnel that lead, train or come into contact in any way with your child or ward are fully screened by the police. Uniformed instructors are members of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve who are trained specialists in working with cadets. In addition, all cadets receive Cadet Harassment and Abuse Prevention (CHAP) training. CHAP fosters a safe, respectful abuse free environment for cadets.

While 2754 Army Cadets is a safe environment for your child or ward, we cannot guarantee the safety of your child/ward's belongings. Items such as cell phones, walkmans, IPODs, MP3 players, jewellery, or any valuable of any type should only be brought to cadets with the understanding that 2754 Army Cadets is NOT RESPONSIBLE for the loss or damage of such items.

When you join cadets you will find a code of conduct. Please take the time to read it and ask any questions you may have. 2754 Army Cadets has a zero tolerance policy towards drug use, alcohol use, bullying, theft, carrying of weapons, anti-social behaviour or any other negative activities.
